Women with disabilities across the European Union face a heightened risk of gender-based violence, while many support services still lack accessible, rights-based and gender-responsive approaches. The RESPONSE (Responsive services to address gender-based violence against women with disabilities) project goal is to strengthen cooperation between the disability and victims’ rights sectors to improve prevention and response mechanisms.
To support this, the RESPONSE partnership developed a Training & Awareness Raising (TAR) Manual on rights-based and gender-responsive services, designed for disability, health, social care and judicial service providers.
