Council Directive 2000/78/EC Establishing a General Framework for Equal Treatment in Employment and Occupation

Description

The purpose of this Directive is to lay down a general framework for combating discrimination on the grounds of religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation as regards to employment and occupation, with a view to putting into effect in the Member States the principle of equal treatment.

Council Directive on Implementing the Principle of Equal Treatment between Persons Irrespective of Religion or Belief, Disability, Age or Sexual Orientation

Description 

The aim of this proposal is to implement the principle of equal treatment between persons irrespective of religion or belief, disability, age or sexual orientation outside the labour market. It sets out a framework for the prohibition of discrimination on these grounds and establishes a uniform minimum level of protection within the European Union for people who have suffered such discrimination.

Council of Europe Disability Action Plan 2006-2015

Description 

This document presents the Council of Europe Action Plan to promote the rights and full participation of people with disabilities in society: improving the quality of life of people with disabilities in Europe 2006-2015. The Action Plan is a practical tool to enable societal developments and demographic changes and to promote the rights of people with disabilities. Its core principles include: independence, freedom of choice, full participation and equal access to political and public life.

Country Fact Sheets on Social Care and Support Services Sector for Persons with Disabilities

Description

As part of its commitment to expand knowledge base on the Social Care and Support Services (SCSS) Sector in Europe, EASPD commissioned the research “Country Fact Sheets on Social Care & Support Services Sector for Persons with Disabilities”, awarded to the Policy Impact Lab. The aim of the fact sheets is to reflect the state of play of the social care and support services sector for persons with disability. The following 10 countries were selected for the 1st round of the research: Austria, Bulgaria, Finland, France, Ireland, Lithuania, Malta, Slovakia, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Deklaracija EASPD-a o zapošljavanju (Croatian)

Description 

EASPD je Europska udruga pružatelja usluga za osobe s invaliditetom. Naš glavni cilj je borba za prava osoba s invaliditetom i provođenje u djelo Konvencije Ujedinjenih naroda o pravima osoba s invaliditetom (dalje u tekstu: Konvencija UN-a) putem učinkovitih i visokokvalitetnih uslužnih sustava. U Europi živi približno 80 milijuna osoba s invaliditetom. Jasno je vidljivo da je njihova zastupljenost na tržištu radne snage znatno niža u usporedbi s populacijom u cjelini. Osobe s invaliditetom nisu potpuno integrirane u tržište rada; gotovo polovica populacije radne dobi je ili nezaposlena ili proglašena nesposobnom za rad. Mnogi od onih koji su zaposleni ne dobivaju dovoljno posla ili primaju plaću nižu od zakonom propisane minimalne plaće, obavljaju poslove koji su ispod njihovih mogućnosti ili imaju privremene ugovore i slabe izglede za napredovanje.
