UNCRPD General Comments

In some cases different interpretations of the same article may create general misunderstanding of a principle and its implementation. That’s why the Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities has provided in-depth guidance on the rights and obligations through General Comments, specifically on article 12 about ‘Equal recognition before the law’ and on article 9 about ‘Accessibility’.

United Nations Convention for Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD)

Description

The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is an international human rights treaty of the United Nations intended to protect the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities. Parties to the Convention are required to promote, protect, and ensure the full enjoyment of human rights by persons with disabilities and ensure that they enjoy full equality under the law.

Vona du Toit Model of Creative Ability

The Vona du Toit Model of Creative Ability is a model with a developmental frame of reference combined with existentialism, phenomenology and motivation theory.  The central belief is that motivation governs action and action is the manifestation or expression of motivation. Motivation and action are inextricably linked, and therefore one can identify an individual's motivation by observing the person’s action.
